We provide kids with the best foundation by having them complete a series of balance, control and agility skills that will prepare them for any ice skating sport including hockey, figure skating, speed skating, ringette or recreational skating. This program offers a nationally tested and proven curriculum to guarantee the skater’s success. Participants earn ribbons and badges while they learn the fundamental skating skills. CanSkate is the feeder program to all other Skate Canada Skating Programs including CanPowerSkate, StarSkate and CompetitiveSkate. Participants are taught in a group lesson format by NCCP Certified Professional Coaches trained specifically in teaching the mechanics and proper technique of skating. Coaches are assisted by trained Program Assistants.
